Make the most of your experience at CONFERENCE2020: Online

Before the conference

1. Plan your schedule to optimise your time
Check out the conference programme on the event website and then organise your personal attendance schedule via the online event platform (available 2 weeks prior to the conference).

2. Familiarise yourself with the online platform
Login information and guidelines on accessing the online platform will be sent to you around two weeks before the live event: Download the mobile and web apps, login, test your system, audio and video connections.  Take time now to familiarise yourself with the online environment.  For the best experience use a laptop of desktop rather than mobile.

3. Create your profile for better networking
Set-up your online profile: Add a picture, short biography and links to your social networks. Your contact information is only available to those that you agree to connect with.

4. Set reminders for live sessions
With more distractions in the home, office or lab environment it’s easy to miss the live sessions: Set reminders for sessions you want to attend live – attending live is your only chance to ask questions and interact with the speakers.

5. Minimise distractions
Block off your calendar, turn off all notifications except those from CONFERENCE2020, pour a cup of your favourite coffee and set yourself up in a quiet space.

During the conference

1. Learn from the experts at your own pace
Be inspired by our keynote speakers and gain an insight into new research from around the world. No need to take notes as you can watch all talks and slides again after the event.

2. Get interactive
Participate: Ask questions during the live sessions, vote in the online polling and get social using #eurosense2020.

3. Build your network
Engage with speakers, poster presenters and other attendees in the live sessions. Connect with other delegates to discuss common research topics and arrange meetings.

4. Collaborate 1:1
Arrange one-to-one video meetings with other participants: follow-up on key areas of interest resulting from the talks and posters.

5. Meet with exhibitors
Visit the online exhibition hall to find out more about the latest products and services: watch demonstrations on video and chat live with company representatives.

6. Enjoy the experience
Prepare to participate and to have some fun with your peers.

After the conference

1. Catch up on what you missed
Watch any recorded sessions you may have missed. Follow up with individual speakers and delegates via the connect function in the conference app.
On-demand access to recordings is available for 30 days after the event: but you still have access to presentation abstracts via the Conference app.

2. Feedback

Complete the post-event survey: this is new experience for us all and we want to know what worked well for you and where we can improve
