What to expect at EuroSense Onsite
EuroSense 2020: Onsite will include in-person talks from our plenary speakers and contributing speakers together with poster sessions and workshops as scheduled the programme.
Where speakers are unable to be present in Rotterdam, their talk or poster pitch will be live-streamed as scheduled in the programme to enable live Q&A from both our onsite and online audiences.
An onsite exhibition will take place alongside the conference sessions.
EuroSense 2020: Onsite is committed to providing a safe environment for onsite delegates, our organising staff and staff at the venue.
We aim to provide a forum for safe in-person networking and social interaction and have allowed more time in the programme to facilitate this, however you will notice some differences:
- To comply with social distancing requirements (1.5 metres) we are limiting on-site attendance to 280 attendees. Protocols such as timed registrations sessions, served catering stations, social-distanced seating and poster sessions and one-way flows throughout the venue together with increased hygiene measures will all be in place.
- The venue has a number of hygiene and logistical measures in place to ensure a safe meeting place. Please refer to our Coronavirus page for information.
- Exhibitions booths are manned by limited staff: you can use the conference app to make contact and arrange socially distanced meetings on site.
A full risk assessment will take account of current COVID-secure guidelines for The Netherlands immediately prior to the event and these will be communicated to all registered on-site delegates in advance of the conference to ensure compliance with current legislation.
The on-site conference will run per the programme schedule – however, in addition to engaging with on-site attendees, you can use the app to connect with our online delegates – both during and after the meeting.
You also have access to the recordings of the talks and poster sessions so you can watch one track and catch up on talks you miss in parallel sessions for up to 30 days after the event.
