Jessica Aschemann-Witzel

Jessica Aschemann-Witzel (Dr.agr.) is an Associate Professor at the MAPP Centre – Research on Value Creation in the Food sector, at Aarhus University. Her research focuses on marketing and consumer behaviour challenges along the food supply chain. Jessica´s is in particular interested in issues related to health and sustainability, with a view towards improvements to the benefit of society. Jessica has authored more than 40 articles in diverse international refereed journals and is editorial board member of the Journal of Consumer Policy. After finalizing a 3-year EU project on consumer-related food waste and suboptimal food, she is now involved in research on organic food, and currently leads national research projects on the relation between retailing and household food waste and on new sustainable protein products.
