Thierry  Worch

Dr Thierry Worch first started as a project manager at OP&P Product Research (Utrecht, The Netherlands) before completing his PhD on “the Ideal Profile Analysis: from the validation to the statistical analysis of ideal profile data” both in collaboration with Pieter Punter (OP&P), Sébastien Lê and Jérôme Pagès (Agrocampus-Ouest).

End of 2012, he joined Anne Hasted team at Qi Statistics, where he ran clients’ projects, participated to research project or gave diverse trainings (Hal MacFie Training, R-trainings, EyeOpenR trainings, etc.). With Qi Statistics, he also continued a long collaboration with Logic8 where he produced all the R-routines included in the EyeOpenR software.

End of 2020, he decided to move into a bigger company, and provides now his service to Friesland-Campina in the Sensory and Consumer R&D department. There, he is defined as an expert in sensory and consumer methods, Sensometric, and Data Science.

Besides publishing various papers related to Sensometric, and participating in many books, he is also the co-author with Sébastien Lê of a book entitled “Analyzing sensory data with R” (CRC Press) and is currently working on “Introduction to Data Science for Sensory and Consumer Scientists” (CRC Press) together with Dr. John Ennis and Dr. Julien Delarue.
